This interactive panel discussion will focus on raising the awareness of mediation as an ADR  option available in the UAE and the region. The panel will address a variety of topics, including  the ADR scene in the region and where mediation fits in; why Dubai is a good place to  undertake mediation; mediation contrasted with other ADR processes; why mediation is not  a soft option; how to get the best out of the process; negotiation techniques; finding “value added” solutions that are not available in litigation or arbitration; the use of institutional  rules; fee structures; and the enforcement of mediation settlement agreements.
