ArbDB Chambers Participate In The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Forum- An Overview Of Mediation In The GCC And The Development Of Investor State (IS) Mediation

ArbDB Chambers Members, Wolf von Kumberg, Mark Appel, George Grant and Michael Cover, all participated in this Forum at the ADGM on 14 October 2018. The Forum was the first of its kind and was held in the superb facilities at the ADGM itself on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi. 

A high quality audience of around 40 delegates heard the keynote address by Mohamed Amara, the General Counsel of the UAE Space Agency and this was followed by sessions on An Overview of Mediation in the Gulf, the Development of IS Mediation, moderated by Mark Appel, and a Mock Mediation, moderated by Wolf von Kumberg, with participation by Mark Appel and Michael Cover. The Forum was wrapped up by Linda Fitz-Alan, the Registrar and Chief Executive of the ADGM Courts, itself about to open its new Arbitration Suite.
