ArbDB Chambers Members participate as arbitrators and judges at the International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot 2019 (IMLAM) in Rotterdam

ArbDB Chamber Members, Peter McQueen and Michael Cover, participated as arbitrators and judges at IMLAM from 1 to 5 July 2019. The Moot was part of International Maritime Law and Arbitration Week in Rotterdam. The week was co-hosted by Murdoch University and the Noord Nederlandsche P&I Club.

31 teams from universities from all over the world took part in the Moot, pleading alternately as Claimant and Respondent in a maritime dispute scenario. IMLAM was held at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. The Moot Director was Dr Kate Lewins of Murdoch University.
In addition to the participation of Peter and Michael, ArbDB Chambers provided a prize for the Best Speaker from a Newcomer Team, which was won by Ashima Sharma of the National Law University, Delhi. The overall winner of the Moot was the team from the University of Queensland.
