The IMLAM Moot 2022 competition was hosted virtually by Singapore Management University between 3 and 8 July 2022, culminating in a Grand Final between the National University of Singapore and the University of Sydney, with the winning team being the University of Sydney. Some 17 teams from universities from 8 countries took part.
ArbDB Chambers Members, Peter McQueen and Steffen Pedersen, acted as arbitrators during the competition.
ArbDB Chambers sponsored the Prize for the Best Speaker from a team participating for the first time and this was won by Dhea Ramadhani of Sebelas Maret University, of Surakarta, Indonesia, with the Runner Up being Yara Torbey of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne.
In 2023 the IMLAM Moot will be held at Swansea University and conducted under a new organising committee made up David Goodwin (AMTAC/MLAANZ), Daniella Horton (LMAA) and Ian Teo (SCMA), which is taking over the helm from Kate Lewins (Murdoch University) who has fulfilled that role admirably for 17 years.
